there's a funny posted as a video of David reading _The Pigeon Wants Puppy_ to Josh on our Little BGs blog. :) Don't know if it will be funny enough, but it's worth a shot. He's got a really bizarre "fake laugh" that he uses for that book only...

She is just beautiful, how is Audrey Anne taking to her? I bet she is the little helper. I asked Dana for your home address if you want to e-mail me it I would appreciate it. I would like to send you a card.
Congradulations and I am glad all is well for both of you.

She is BEAUTIFUL!! And your tummy wasn't that big! I'm a bit envious of your 'tiny' belly.

Congrats!

She's beautiful!! Thanks for posting some pictures. I am feeling so sad about being so far away and not getting to meet Scarlet right away like we did with Audrey and Elliott. But we are so excited to meet our new niece at Christmas.

Much love to you all!!

I am laughing and laughing and laughing. It is time for me to stop reading your blog. I am gorging myself on it and, while it is so fun to read, I need to get some work done. Especially as others in the Vineyard Kids office are wondering why I am laughing and laughing and laughing.

I would not have been able to keep a straight face. HOW did you do it????

Lots of adult women I know are reading those books. I haven't--I don't really get into the vampire thing--but I can say that the discussions I've heard about them haven't made me want to read them. The general consensus is that the first one or two are really good, but then the messages about women in them become very disturbing. But hey, I haven't read them, so I can't exactly judge.

If you want a really good, spooky, well-written vampire book, may I suggest "The Historian?" It's amazing and has so much to say about history while telling three different stories at the same time and also doing a great job retelling Dracula, only basing it on the actual historical leged. It's by Elizabeth Kostova.

Oh, and Shanel, I LOVED "Garden Spells!" I picked it up at 11 pm one night for a bit of quick reading before bed. You will not be surprised to hear I put it down at 2 am, when I finished it. It was so unique and lovely! I lent it to my friend Ruth and she read it right away, too! Thank you so much for passing it on to me...it is making its way around my social circle here in England.

Bring on the late-night breast feeding reading time!
