Hey, it’s me again. I wanted to share something with you that I read this week in “Friendships of Women” by Dee Brestin. She was talking about friends that we should seek out and she describes a few as saints and poets. “Poets and saints see things other people miss…Genuine poets are rare. But if we look carefully, most of us can find people who have poets’ imaginations, who stretch us because their thoughts and their lifestyles have not been squeezed into the world’s mold….Jesus says the mouth speaks what the heart is full of — when you are with some people it is like sitting under a spiritual fountain, for you are continually being sprinkled with the overflow of a rich heart…. Poets are reflective, really looking at life and seeing — they ask thoughtful questions, drawing you out because they really care about how you think and feel…. Poets embrace life!…a friendship with a thinking person can be a catalyst in your life, helping you to reach beyond that which you’ve known before.” This reminds me of you.
